Agreed.  And I don’t like a lot about this, but the use of insists bothers me the most.

The weirdest part about this is - and I read this elsewhere, not in the Post - there was a misunderstanding due to a mistranslation of the question she was asked. 

Also, the botched translation was gratingly misogynistic. He asked her what Mr. Clinton would say “through the mouth of his wife”. Which just makes you want to go all Gloria Steinem on somebody, right?
